Pâte de verre, one of the oldest glass making methods, which is based on processing glass powder, was combined with parametric design concepts and CAD technologies. Investigations of the material and of patterns and surfaces were used to explore the visual and tactile limits of perception, readability and accuracy of reproduction. The central research objective was to combine the possibilities of artisanal glass-making with those of digital technologies whereby revealing new potential for a traditional material.
