The experimental form study »minus« deals with the contrast between solid and fluid. The two differently sized carafes both characterized by their complementary outer and inner shapes. Outside they form a geometric cuboid, inside a flattened bubble, seemingly floating in the transparent material. When filled, the object forces the liquid into a thin sheet, emphasizing the graphic quality of the design while also drawing attention to every movement of the water surface. Furthermore the fluid forms a distinct element within the glass container – allowing one to perceive each substance more clearly.
