In the western hemisphere, we almost always have instant access to clean drinking water through our water distribution networks. Nevertheless, we still consume additional resources and buy packaged water, which has been transported over long distances. A carafe, on the other hand, can highlight the value of tap water as a beverage and add to it a ritual dimension through the act of pouring. In this design, carafe and glass not only formally belong together, they literally form a unit. The minimalist form is reminiscent of the glass vessels in a scientific laboratory. Through its simple, playful use, the „Träglas“ is intended to inspire a more resource-conserving consumption of water.
